Ken Roupenian
Vice President of Production / Executive Producer
Ken Roupenian is part of the Tau Films Leadership Team, serving as Vice President of Production/Executive Producer. He brings with him over 30 years of experience in Entertainment and Visual Effects having helped build production and global management teams for Academy Award-winning VFX facilities and studios, including Digital Domain, Rhythm & Hues and Sony Pictures Entertainment.
Ken began his career at Sony Pictures Entertainment working in network television publicity, ultimately moving into the role of Head of Photo. He made the move to Rhythm & Hues, jumping into the then still young world of CGI and Visual Effects. During his 21-year tenure at Rhythm & Hues, Ken advanced through a number of producing and managerial positions before spending his final ten years there heading up Digital Production. In this capacity he led the growth of their team from approximately 400 to over 1,500 worldwide, and was instrumental in overall talent management, recruiting and training. After Rhythm & Hues, Ken moved to Digital Domain where he was Vice President of Digital Studio and responsible for the management of the company’s creative teams globally.
